In the Santa Fe River in Florida, there is an opening in water where the Devil Spring joins into the river. This deep opening, known as Devil’s Eye, goes deep into the ground, deeper than the bottom of the actual river. The water flows have created deep tunnels and caverns, some that have water pressure as strong as a fire hydrant. There are more than 30,000 feet of mapped passageways, but diving through these dark and narrow underwater tunnels can still be very terrifying.
